Rain-soaked fields and predictions of more precipitation both today and Friday has forced yet another delay in the middle school baseball and softball roundup.

According to Jerry Herring, with the Clinton Recreation and Parks Department, games had to be postponed again today because the fields “are just to wet” to play on right now.

The softball tournament will continue Monday, May 11, with Midway and Union playing at the Sampson Middle School ball field at 4 p.m. Hobbton and Sampson will face off at Royal Lane, also at 4 p.m. Monday
