A teen who walked away from a therapeutic home in the Harrells community Sunday has been found.

Officials with the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office said deputies patrolling the area of Wildcat Road, near Harrells, spotted Joshua Adam Miller, 13, walking along the shoulder of the road Tuesday evening.

According to reports, the teenager had walked away from the facility, located at 3784 Wildcat Road, Harrells, twice earlier in the day, however he returned each time. The last time he walked away, somewhere aroud 10:30 p.m., he traveled toward Harrells on Wildcat Road.

The missing persons report was actually issued at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday; Joshua was found by deputies around 6 p.m. that same night.

After an interview with Joshua, it was determined that he had been staying at a residence nearby since leaving the therapeutic home.

Investigators with the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating the occupants of the residence that provided shelter to the minor to determine why they didn’t notify law enforcement officials.

As of press time Wednesday, no charges had been filed in the case.

Since I have logged in this morning I have seen about 3 different comments that went POOF! I guess they made the cut from the night staff review team only to be axed when Sherry arrived! LOL Sherry you don't have enough hours in the day or staffers to keep this up.

Well, jfr, I would assume a child being missing as rather important matter, but you however seem to think it isn't. Ask yourself these questions. Was an Amber Alert issued? If so, why didn't the SI respond more quickly? Instead of getting on your Sampson County mentality high horse, why don't you ask the sheriff'es dept why it took so long to issue the missing person report, especially a child.

You're offend because I question the response time of the SI reporting this article. Maybe the next time you should think about what you're being told in the media.

Just a thought.

Yep, I can see it now. Here's how it played out...Hey Ms. Editor, we just got information on a missing teen should we rush this info to the press room? I have told you already and don't let me have to repeat myself again...NOTHING gets published until we have obliterated every single LAFUS comment! Now get back to work deleting, blocking and editing any comments related to the V family! GO!

They were too busy trying to delete all of lafus' comments, rather than doing their jobs.

Sherry's BFF, have you ever considered that it was reported two days after the fact because that is when the sheriff's office released the information?

Just a thought.
