Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church Ministries, Inc. will present The Joshua Generation Youth Conference 2012 beginning Wednesday July 18 and running through Friday July 20. The conference is entitled “Rock the Word.”
To begin this dynamic conference, on Wednesday July 18, a Youth Praise Party Night will be held. Special gifted and talented youth from all over the county and the youth of MPMBC will express themselves in their own unique way for the glory of God. There will be singing, dancing and rocking for Jesus – to be held at the Sampson County Exposition Center.
On Thursday July 19, there will be drama by Potter’s Clay Ministries of Goldsboro, and a spiritual message will be given by minister Shawn Maynor of Bolton. On Friday July 20, there will be a discussion forum; Christian Rap by Lawrence Riddles and a spiritual message will be given by pastor Wendell Jones of “Changing Your Mind Ministries of Taylors, S.C.
“We are looking forward to watching God manifest Himself during this amazing conference event. In past years, many young souls have been snatched from the snares of the enemy’s hands and won for the Kingdom of God,” expressed minister Dee Beatty..
“One year in particular, 60 ‘oung souls gave their lives to Christ. They came boldly to the throne of Grace with no hesitation. Our church edifice holds approximately 550 people comfortably and in recent years we have packed the house with ninety percent youth. This year, we have decided to move the Wednesday night service to the Sampson County AgriExposition (Civic) Center, located at 414 Warsaw Road in the great city of Clinton,” she said.
For this night, the doors will open at 6:45 p.m.; on Thursday and Friday, the conference will return to the church with services beginning at 7:30 p.m.
“We are preparing a generation for the future and in doing so, we are also ensuring that we celebrate God with them. Come and join us have fun in Jesus and let us “Rock the Word” together - Let’s Go!” remarked Beatty.
