The 10th Annual 100 Men in Black/Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration will be held Sunday, Jan. 15, at 3 p.m. The Honorable Paul A. Mount Pleasant

Will have a Prayer Breakfast at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 7. Guest minister will be Terrell Stevens. The church is in Turkey.

Union Grove FWB

Pre-pastor anniversary revival started off on Thursday, night Jan. 5 at 7:30 with the Rev. Onyx Martin and Saint Paul church family of Clinton. Friday night, Jan. 6 will be the elder Eddie Parker, ushers, congregation and the Mingle Hill fellowship choir of Salemburg will provide the music. On Saturday night Jan. 7 will be the Apostle Marcus Becton, ushers, congregation and way of the cross of Turkey will provide the music. The service will wind down on Sunday, Jan. 8 by celebrating the pastors 9th anniversary starting with Sunday school at 9:45 and morning worship at 11 a.m. The morning guest speaker will be elder Fernando Geddie of Piney Green. He will be accompanied by the ushers, congregation and the gospel choir will provide the music. After the Word dinner will be served in the fellowship hall. At 3 p.m. the afternoon speaker will be the Rev. Cornolius Moore of First Missionary Baptist church of Kenansville. He will be accompanied by the ushers, congregation and First Missionary Baptist mass choir will provide the music.

West Bladen

NAACP

Second annual musical program honoring the birthday of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Sunday, Jan. 15, at 4 p.m. at Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church. Men and male choruses of the surrounding areas are requested to come and participate in the Bladen County Men’s Choir. Program and rehearsals will be held at Baldwin Branch Missionary Baptist Church. Rehearsal dates and time are Jan. 6, and 9, at 6:30 p.m. FMI, call 910-645-4995.
