DURHAM — Mr. Owen Melvin Jr., 78, formerly of Sampson County, died Friday, Feb. 1. 2013.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at Smith Chapel AME Zion Church, 7485 Old Mintz Hwy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church from 12-1 p.m. Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
