WILKESBORO — Mrs. Peggy Jean Butler Rizoti, 75, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Rizoti was born July 11, 1937 in Clinton, to Robert Lee and Anna Rose Holland Butler. She was a member of Wilkesboro United Methodist Church. Mrs. Rizoti was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Rizoti Jr.; and seven brothers and sisters, Paul Butler, Ollie Butler, Annie Mae Hillard, Evelyn Reller, Grace Butler, Maxine Butler, Rose Dickens.
Surviving are four sons, Robert Rizoti and wife, Sue, Steve Rizoti and wife, Martha all of Wilkesboro, Jeff Rizoti and wife, Dana of Millers Creek, James Rizoti and wife, Ginger of Jasper, Ga.; and five grandchildren, Merritt Rizoti, Rachel Ortega and husband, Richard, Tate Rizoti, Trent Rizoti and Seth Rizoti.
Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at Wilkesboro United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lewis Poag and the Rev. Chris Lackey officiating. The family received friends at Miller Funeral Service from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday night.
