Raider boys outrun the Carolina Conference again

Midway made it a perfect 3-0 in boys’ cross country Wednesday as they raced to victory in a Carolina Conference meet. The meet was hosted by Goldsboro High School and held at North Drive Elementary School in Goldsboro.

Once again, Raider Michael McLamb led the field with a time of 18:21. Alan Coor of Spring Creek claimed 2nd, just 4 seconds behind McLamb. Midway’s Caleb Sanders took 3rd in 18:54. The 4th place finish went to Victor Prezbindowksi of Goldsboro at 19:08. Will Toler of Princeton came in 5th with a tally of 19:16.

Midway got a solid performance from Dalton Butler, who was 8th with a time of 19:59. Heath Smith followed by 2 seconds and took the 9th spot. The 5th Raider was Alex Bradley with a 12th place finish and a time of 20:21. Ritchell Causar was 15th and crossed in 21:08.

“A lot of hard work is paying off,” remarked Midway coach Heath Brewer.

The Raiders will run at Mount Olive College next Wednesday. The host school will be North Duplin.

The Lady Raiders did not fare as well. Rosewood took 3 of the top 5 spots.

Grayson Collins of Goldsboro finished first with a time of 24:41. Rosewood’s top 3 were Kasie Elliott, Ashley Duran, and Charleigh Smith.

Samantha Wilkins of North Duplin claimed 5th.

Midway’s top 3 were Kimberly Sublett, Kimberly O’Brien, and Maddie Pope. They finished 7th, 10th, and 11th respectively. Sublett’s time was 27:49.
