Midway’s summer Raider baseball team shut out Bunn Wednesday night in the rain-delayed final of the Central Carolina Scholastic League playoff. The final score was 3-0.
The Raiders return to the baseball diamond Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. to take on the winner of the Middle Creek and West Johnston game.
Wednesday night, the Raiders finished off Bunn in sevening innings, with Taylor Calcutt on the hill for Midway. He gave up 1 walk and 2 hits, striking out 8.
Leading the way for Midway at bat were Kyle Hawley, 2 for 3; Cody Baker, 1 for 1; and Troy Spell, 1 for 3, with 1 RBI.
