The Raiders took their soccer game on the road Thursday afternoon and game home with another non-conference win, this one against Rosewood. Final score 4-3.

Rosewood actually got on the scoreboard first, but the 1-0 lead melted quickly as Jimmy Blackmon passed one to Jonathan Garcia who put the ball into the net, tying the game.

It was Garcia’s night as he put three more away by game’s end.

He hit his second shot off a second assist from Blackmon, and the Raiders were up 2-1.

Then a few minutes later, Zachary Dixon found Garcia for the Raider’s third goal of the night. At the half, the Raiders were up 3-1.

Rosewood found its footing in the second period, adding 2 more goals, but Midway proved stronger as Garcia put his foot into another one to bring the score to 4-3.

Coach Allan McLamb said he thought his guys played a good game and he was happy for the non-conference win.

The Raiders return to the field Monday for a game against county rival Lakewood. Game time 5 p.m.
