Robert Blackburn, 50
ELIZABETHTOWN — Mr. Robert Edward Blackburn, 50, of 3410 N.C. Hwy. 53 East, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012 at Bladen Co. Hospital in Elizabethtown.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 07, 2012 at Colly Chapel Church, by the Rev. Jim Woodruff. Burial will follow in the Blackburn Cemetery in Harrells.
Mr. Blackburn is survived by his mother, Hattie Velarde of Elizabethtown; father, Carl Blackburn; stepmother, Faye Blackburn of Washington; two bothers, Ronald Valarde of Elizabethtown and Dewayne Blackburn of Garland; his fiancé Shirley Waldrop of Elizabethtown.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home in Garland.
