ROSEBORO — Mr. Ronald Nixon Holland, 63,died on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012 at his home. He was born in Salemburg to James Albert and Alma Warren Holland. Ronald was a member of Salemburg Baptist Church. He retired from Sampson County Schools’ Plant Operations as the painting supervisor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Worley Holland; two sons, Ronnie Holland and wife, Yolanda of San Diego, Calif., and Carl Cain of Salemburg; two daughters, Angela Holland of Autryville and Renee Cain of Roseboro; four grandchildren, Michael Malpass of Riegelwood, Rhonda Kaye Williams of Roseboro, Mya Holland and Connor Holland of San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, Leon Holland and wife, Diane of Roseboro and Joe Holland and wife, Carolyn of Salemburg; and six sisters, Peggy Lee and husband, Gene and Faye Turner and husband, Harold both of Mt. Olive, Stella McDonald, Anne Eacret and husband, Bennie, Kathleen Holland and Gail Jerson and husband, Leslie all of Salemburg.

Services will be held at 6 p.m. at Salemburg Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 18, with the Rev. John Adams officiating. Visitation will precede the funeral at 5 p.m. Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Sharon Taylor, her nurse Sheree and staff at Duke Raleigh Hospital. Also to his hospice nurse, Donna Reedy and others that were involved in his care.
