Howard-Cooper Scholarship winners
Jane Price, Howard-Cooper Scholarship chairwoman, announced the recipients of the scholarships at Salemburg Baptist Church on Sunday, Aug. 25. The following students have been awarded the scholarship for the current year: from left: Harrison Butler, Wofford College; Zannah Faircloth, Cape Fear Community College; Sarah Sessoms, East Carolina University; and Leigh Hairr, Fayetteville State University. The Howard-Cooper Scholarships are funded through at trust created by the Howard Fund and are administered through Salemburg Baptist Church to four outstanding students living in the Lakewood School District.
