Twelve Boy Scouts from Troop 80 recently attended Boy Scout summer camp at Camp Raven Knob in Mount Airy. The boys earned merit badges in a variety of areas, with favorites including: small boat sailing, metal works, wildlife and fisheries, swimming, canoeing, and lifesaving. The highlight of the week was climbing to the knob summit at sunrise. Pictured back row, from left: Parker Johnson, Janzen Rose (Merit Scout award recipient), Eli Bradley, Gage Jackson, Noel Turlington, and Carson Ellis; and front row, from left: Joni Fay Fetterman, Hunter Bruce, Noah Brock, Peter Darden, Wesley Cowand, Kaleb Jessup, Boyce Purdie, and Jennifer Bradley.
