Two Clinton men were placed under arrest Wednesday afternoon for allegedly pointing guns at local drivers in a threatening manner

Louis Estrada, 23, and Efrain Medina Jr., 26, both of 3164 Governor Moore Road, were each charged with going armed to the terror of the public and carrying a concealed weapon after their car was identified by a Sampson County sheriff’s deputy on N.C. Hwy. 403 Wednesday around 6 p.m.

According to reports from the Clinton Police Department, both men were riding in a red Chevrolet Wednesday when they began pulling up to vehicles in the College Street area, reportedly waving guns at other drivers.

A Be on the Lookout (BOLO) report went out and deputy. Ricky Mattocks spotted the vehicle just north of Clinton within an hour of the last reported incident.

Clinton Police Chief Jay Tilley said investigators recovered a BB gun painted black, as well as a box cutter with a handle on it during the arrests.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

“We don’t know what they were doing or what the reason behind it was,” Tilley explained. “We were not sure why they were doing it.”

Both men were placed under $5,000 bonds and given trial dates of Oct. 15.

I would have paid good money if these two losers had pointed a gun at someone during deer season and the driver was in pick-up sporting a dog box. They would have been shipped back to Mexico in a wooden box.
