Heather Bradford, assistant manager of the Wing Spot, explained that the dance-off fund-raising will take place Friday night at the Wing Spot, located at 637 Northwest Blvd. in Clinton, from 7 to 10 p.m. To take part in the event, all one has to do is bring an unwrapped Christmas present or donate some money to the Toys for Tots program.
For the last month, Bradford explained that Jerris McPhail, owner of the Wing Spot, along with Boogie Shoes himself, Robert Stroud, have been planning this event that will help make Christmas wishes come true for children whose parents may be struggling this season.
“This is for the less fortunate,” Bradford explained. Since many across the county have less to give this year, Bradford stated that there is no set amount of how much one should donate or how much should be spent on the present. In addition, she stated that there is no specific goal set, but she does hope that lots of people do their part to make this a successful event.
Beach music will be featured during the three hour event, and Stroud will be the disc jockey for the entire evening.
Bradford expressed that there are no age limits for the presents given to the children.
“It can be for infants to teenagers,” Bradford commented.
McPhail expressed that he expects everyone to come out and have a good time.
“We really look forward to everyone coming out,” McPhail commented.
