Clinton’s JV girls got a road win against Richlands Monday night. Final score 39-31.
Clinton jumped out to a 7-5 first quarter lead and continued to extend it, ahead 19-12 at half and 25-19 at the end of the third quarter.
“I am so proud of my team’s play,” said Clinton JV coach Regina Parker. “They played excellent defense and converted a lot of the other team’s turnovers into points.”
Brielle Mitchell led scoring for Clinton with 18 points. Zoey Harris had 13 points; Jacklyn Parker, 3; Jasmine Fryar, 2; Talaya Butler, 2 and Chelsea Underwood, 1.
