A 22-year-old Sampson County man has landed in trouble with law enforcement in two counties, and has been jailed because of those troubles.
Jessie Kaheem Henry, 22, 469 Ezzell Road, Clinton, is facing felony drug charges in both Duplin and Sampson counties after having been picked up by authorities following citizen complaints that led to his arrest.
According to Sampson Cpl. Marcus Smith, complaints against Henry were apparently lodged in counties and, because of them, an investigation into the allegations was launched.
“Through that investigation warrants were obtained in both counties,” Smith said.
Henry is currently charged in Sampson and Duplin with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, sell of a Schedule II controlled substance, delivery of a Schedule II controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was jailed in Sampson under a $30,000 secured bond.
No details were available relating to the Duplin charges.
Henry is expected to make an appearance in Sampson County District Court Jan. 11.
Sheriff Jimmy Thornton has praised the work of Sampson citizens who provided tips that help officers solve crimes. Being that “nosey neighbor,” he has often said, makes the difference in neighborhoods and often prevents crimes from happening.
