A 26-year-old Sampson County man is facing a $25,000 bond after being arrested in connection with a break-in and larceny that took place near Godwin on Sept. 12.

Marvin Lee Miller, Jr., 26, of 259 Hill Owen Lane, was charged with breaking and entering; larceny after breaking and entering; and possession of stolen goods/property, after being arrested Tuesday morning around 9 a.m.

According to reports, on Sept. 12, Miller allegedly broke into a home in the 5000 block of Fayetteville Highway and left with a flatscreen television; a computer game system, games and wireless controllers; computer hardware; and a shotgun.

After investigation and interviews, sheriff’s investigators whittled the suspect list down to Miller. He was picked up Tuesday at a home on Megan Lane and arrested without incident.

Miller was taken to the Sampson County Detention Center, given a $25,000 secured bond and a trial date of Sept. 28.

According to the North Carolina Department of Corrections, he has one previous conviction dating back to May 2006. That conviction was a misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
