A 33-year-old Rowan Road man is facing nine felonies after being linked to three larcenies, one from a Clinton church, that took place on July 2.
Ronnie Lee Ritch Jr., 33, of 2975 Rowan Road, Clinton, was charged with three counts of breaking and entering; three counts of larceny after a breaking and entering; and three counts of possession of stolen goods/property.
According to sheriff’s officials, Ritch was arrested on July 25 after he was linked to a break-in that took place on July 2 at St. Matthews Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1900 Bradshaw Road, Clinton. In the crime, kitchen equipment and electronics were taken.
Once in custody, Capt. Eric Pope said the Ritch became a suspect in two additional break-ins at N&S Storage in Garland.
In those break-ins, that took place in mid-July, Ritch allegedly broke into two storage units and took the contents inside.
He was placed under a combined $45,000 secured bond and made his first appearance in court last Friday afternoon.
According to the North Carolina Department of Corrections, Ritch has a history of convictions dating back to 1995. Those convictions include: indecent liberties with a child (July 1995); selling a Schedule VI controlled substance (April 1997); crime against nature (July 1997); misdemeanor breaking and entering (July 2002); possession of stolen goods (December 2003); failure to register as a sex offender (March 2004) and possession of stolen goods (December 2005).
