Man reports assault
A 27-year-old Spicy Jane Lane resident was slightly injured over the weekend after he was reportedly attacked by several suspects as he was attempting to drop something off at a friend’s home. Fight leads to stabbing; one injured
A Sampson County man is recovering from his injuries today while sheriff’s investigators are continuing their probe into an incident that left the man stabbed multiple times. Carlos Salvia, 33, of Cricket Lane was injured in the incident, reported to authorities around 2:29 a.m. Saturday morning. According to Cpl. Two people were treated at Sampson Regional Medical Center early Saturday evening after the pair were injured in a wreck along Morisey Boulevard at Eastover Avenue. The scouts also learned about forest management for their forestry merit badge. A suspect being booked into the Sampson County Detention Center for a probation violation found himself with more charges than he had bargained for after officers reportedly found drugs in his possession. County students take part in college fair
Bambi Dove and Rosemary Simpson, Sampson County Schools Scholars Coordinators, recently took a group of students to the National College Fair in Raleigh.  At the fair, students visited with representatives from nearly 200 colleges and universities from across the country.  Students also attended special workshops on how to search for the best fit, application tips, essay writing, and how to finance a college education. Dove and Simpson encourage all college bound students to visit with them at their respective schools to explore college options, scholarships, and financial aid.  Dove is at Union High School and Simpson is at Midway High School on Monday and Tuesday.  Dove is at Hobbton High School and Simpson is at Lakewood High School on Wednesday and Thursday.
