The Midway varsity baseball team hosted the Pender Patriots Tuesday night in late season conference game. The home team scored 4 runs in the first inning and never looked back, coasting to a 12-0 victory. Midway scored 1 in the 2nd, 4 in the 3rd, and 3 more in the 4th en route to the 5 inning win. Raiders shut out Patriots on soccer field
A goal by Manasia Cobb in the 19th minute turned out to be all the Midway Lady Raiders needed Tuesday as they shut out the visiting Pender Lady Patriots 3-0. Reagan Warren assisted on the goal by Cobb. The second goal came in the 43rd minute and was scored by Avery Apperson. Apperson also scored the final goal, a direct kick in the 64th minute. Lady Leopards lose to Tigers
The James Kenan girls teams swept the Leopards in Lakewood country Tuesday night, with both the soccer and softball teams taking wins back to Duplin County. Three games ago the Lady Spartan soccer team changed their formation, and their way of thinking, and they haven’t lost a game since then. Clinton varsity baseball moved to 5-4 in the conference after Tuesday’s win against East Duplin, ending the night with a score of 14-3 by the 10 run rule. Midway Middle defeats ‘Cats
Hobbton Middle and Midway Middle tangled on the baseball diamond Monday afternoon, with the powerhouse Raiders taking the game 14-1.
