The Clinton Lady Dark Horses scored a huge win against the Southern Wayne Saints Monday night, coming out with a 6-0 final score against the visitors. “The team played very well tonight. In a game that began on Friday, the Midway Raiders ended it with a run in the bottom of the 7th on Monday. The game between Midway and the visiting Lakewood Leopards had been suspended in the 4th inning on Friday due to stormy weather. The Raiders came away with a 4-3 win. Both Midway teams take home gold in county meet
The Midway Raiders hosted the last track meet of the regular season on Thursday. Midway’s boys and girls teams both captured victories. In the boys’ meet, the Raiders posted 80 points. Union was the runner-up with 60 points. Pender and James Kenan scored 42 and 24 respectively. First place runners for Midway included Caleb Sanders, winning the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:01. The Midway Lady Raiders softball team hosted conference rival Lakewood Friday night. The Midway Lady Raiders soccer team hosted Lakewood Friday night in a battle of conference powers. Midway entered the game 7-1-1 in conference play, while the Lady Leopards came in 8-0-1.
