In a game that began on Friday, the Midway Raiders ended it with a run in the bottom of the 7th on Monday. Both Midway teams take home gold in county meet
The Midway Raiders hosted the last track meet of the regular season on Thursday. Midway’s boys and girls teams both captured victories. In the boys’ meet, the Raiders posted 80 points. Union was the runner-up with 60 points. Pender and James Kenan scored 42 and 24 respectively. First place runners for Midway included Caleb Sanders, winning the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:01. Hobbton came away with their second win of the week at Union Middle Thursda. The final score was 1-0 on a penalty kick by Lexi Mincy. The Union Spartan soccer team squeaked by the Hobbton Wildcats Friday night, 4-3.
