The Clinton Dark Horses got a hard earned win at home against East Bladen on Friday night. The final was 6-5 in an effort that was nothing beautiful by the Dark Horses, but still got the job done. The win was the ninth straight for Clinton.

Kris Royal started the game on the bump for the Horses. He was relieved by Bailey Spell in the middle innings before Johnathan Wright came in to close the game out. Wright once again came up big for CHS, as he has all year.

Clinton continues to play good baseball and has cracked the top ten in the state rankings. This sets up a showdown in Spivey’s Corner on Tuesday night when the 10th ranked Dark Horses, who beat Midway the first time, will take on the Raiders, who are currently ranked fifth in the state according to Maxpreps.com.

Intensity will be at a great level come game time on Tuesday. If you can’t make the game, follow Adam Capps, @ac4birdie on Twitter for rapid in-game updates.
