The Clinton Dark Horses varsity soccer team won their 10th game of the season, including their ninth in a row, on Monday night blanking West Brunswick 4-0.

The Horses jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first half and would go on to add one more goal in the second. Ivan Palencia, Zach Darden, Jacob Bauman, and Luke Byrd each scored a goal apiece for Clinton. Parker Norris and Ivon Ponce each had one assist.

Clinton coach Brad Spell felt it was a solid match.

“We moved the ball well, but I think we could have done a better job defensively,” Spell said. “West Bladen had several shots at goal, but Gray Sutter did a phenomenal job in the goal. We need to work hard at getting better.”

The Horses are now 10-1-1 overall and 5-0 in the Four County Conference. The Horses will host Trask on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
