The Lady Hobbton Wildcats soccer team extended their winning streak to two Wednesday night after taking down Union, 3-0.

Scoring for the Wildcats were Ashley Hinterleiter with two goals and Jennifer Escalera with one. Lady Wildcats coach Jonathan Jacobs praised his team’s opponent, but was also proud of his team’s efforts.

“Union packed it in the back and played well. We had multiple, multiple shots on goal. We kicked five or six straight to the goalie and should have scored a whole lot more, but I credit Union’s defense and goalkeeper for keeping us out of the goal and holding us to three,” Jacobs said. “I’m proud of the girls and the way they have opened the season up.”

The Wildcats travel to Union on Friday evening for a rematch with the Spartans. Game time is set for 5 p.m.
