The Midway Raiders picked up another victory on Tuesday night, defeating Wallace-Rose Hill 6-2 in Four County Conference play.

Midway struck first in the second inning as Adam Butler, Chandler Williford, Griffin Williams, and Matthew Nunnery combined to generate four runs for Midway to give the Raiders a 4-0 lead.

The Bulldogs were able to pick up a run in the top of the third to trim the margin to 4-1, but they could get no closer.

Midway added another run in the fourth inning and one more in the sixth to boost the lead to 6-1 before the Bulldogs added one final run in the top of the seventh to reach the final tally of 6-2.

Leading the way for Midway was Dustin Holland and Carson Calcutt with two hits apiece. Chandler Williford, Austin Raynor, Nunnery and Butler each had one hit. Nunnery contributed two RBIs while Greg Nobles, Holland, and Calcutt also each added an RBI.

With the win, Midway improves to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in the Four County Conference. They are back in action on Wednesday against Triton.
