For the second year, House of Raeford Farms and its FLOCK Foundation are hosting the Jeremiah Castille Character Football Camp.

This two-day football camp will provide an opportunity for more than 600 student athletes to train with current and former college players from the University of Alabama and Clemson University, under the leadership of former professional champions. The camp focuses on strength, agility and character-building skills for both on and off the field.

The camp will be held on Friday, June 16, and Saturday, June 17, at Wallace-Rose Hill High School, located at 602 High School Road, Teachey, N.C. 28464.

According to a press release on the event, an honored guest will surprise both coaches and campers, and join in on camp activities Friday and Saturday. In attendance will be former NFL champions, as well as former University of Alabama and current Clemson football players.

There will be approximately 600 student athletes representing 13 high schools across six North Carolina counties, including Sampson, Pender, Onslow, Duplin, New Hanover and Moore. There will be more than 100 middle and elementary school players.

Camp coaches and chaplains include

• Jeremiah Castille — Camp founder; University of Alabama football team chaplain; former NFL and University of Alabama cornerback

• Simeon Castille — Former NFL, US Army All-American, USA Today All-American, University of Alabama First Team All-SEC cornerback

• Tim Castille — Former NFL and University of Alabama fullback; former University of Alabama coach; current high school football coach in Alabama

• Joe Edwards — Assistant football coach at Bessemer City High School; former high school linebacker

• Darius Gilbert — Former University of Alabama linebacker, high school coach

• Eric Gray — Former Arena Football League and University of Alabama defensive back

• Reggie Pleasant – Clemson football team chaplain; former NFL, CFL and Clemson defensive back

• Wes Murphy – Defensive line coach at Thompson High School in Alabaster, Ala.; former high school and collegiate coach in Alabama, Georgia, Virginia and Arkansas; former University of Arkansas defensive/tight end; former Kansas City Chiefs pro

• Durrell Fuqua – Former University of Alabama defensive back; current Hoover High School coach

• Brandon Brooks – former University of Alabama wide receiver and kick returner

• Dennis Alexander – Former NFL, NFL Europe and University of Alabama lineman; Experienced high school and semi-pro coach
