The Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders were shut out for the fourth week in a row Friday, losing to Charlotte Latin 48-0.

Harrells allowed 21 points to be put up in just the first quarter as the Hawks took a big lead early, and it didn’t get any better for Harrells. They would allow Charlotte Latin to score 20 in the second quarter, bringing the halftime score to 41-0. The Hawks scored just once more during the third quarter to finish off their dominant night.

Shaquor Newkirk led what little offense HCA was able to produce with two carries for 18 yards and a reception for 32 yards. Tyshon Newkirk added 23 yards on 13 carries.

Defensive leaders were Aaron Smith with nine tackles, and Cody Butler and Tyshon Newkirk, who each added six tackles.

The Crusaders fall to 2-4 overall and 0-2 in the conference. They travel to face North Raleigh Christian Academy next Friday.
