The lady Dark Horses recovered nicely from their close loss earlier this week to Goldsboro, completely dominating this time around to coast by the James Kenan Tigers 7-2 on Tuesday.

The Horses were able to reach .500 with the win, while claiming another conference win in the process. Clinton completely controlled the pace of the match with James Kenan unable to handle them in singles play.

Not only did the Dark Horses win every singles match against the Tigers, but did so in straight sets.

The players that garnered the wins in singles for the Horses included Catherine Smith, Isabella Faison, Lizzy Tart, Cassidy Montgomery, Mattie Byrd and Kendall Spell.

They may have only won one doubles match, but thanks to their singles performances the game was already wrapped up. Winning in doubles play for Clinton were Savannah Puryear and Nayeli Jaramillo.

Clinton improves to 4-4 overall and 3-3 in the conference. They will be back home Thursday against the East Duplin Eagles.
