Wildcats continue to run well


Hobbton High hosted Princeton’s track meet Tuesday since Princeton no longer has a place to run cross country. On the men’s side, Neuse Charter took first place with Princeton and HHS taking second and third. Lakewood took forth. HHS Xavier McLamb, pictured here, took first with a time of 19 minutes, 18.4 seconds. Neuse Charter runners got second and third. Princeton picked up fourth. Lakewood’s Cameron Smith placed fifth at 20:53.7. Hobbton’s David Torres-Molina finished in the top 10.


Hobbton’s Janet Thompson finished sixth with a time of 25:52.6. Rosewood took first in the women’s race with HHS placing second. Rosewood finished with 47 points while Hobbton had 52. Krystal Martinez was right behind Thompson at 27:09.5. Rosewood, Neuse Charter and Hobbton dominated the top 10 for women. The next conference meet is next Tuesday at Lakewood.
