Midway gets first conference win


The Midway Raiders claimed their first conference win of the season Monday, beating the Goldsboro Cougars 3-0. Midway took command by scoring the only goal of the first half and taking a 1-0 lead into halftime. The Raiders carried that momentum into the second half scoring two more unanswered goals and earning the shutout victory. With the victory, the Raiders improved to 6-7 overall and stand 1-5 in the conference. They will continue conference play at home Wednesday against the Spring Creek Gators.
