The Lady Dark Horses tennis team was victorious once again Tuesday, taking down the Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs on the road, 6-3, to get the East Central Conference win.

For the first time in a while this season, the Horses split singles matches.

Catherine Smith, Isabella Faison and Mattie Byrd continue to perform well, each earning singles wins. The Bulldogs gave Clinton a fight during singles matches, claiming victories on the third, fourth and sixth courts in a tiebreaker to even up the match.

The Dark Horses wouldn’t be denied in doubles play, sweeping Wallace-Rose Hill on courts one, two and three.

The court one team was Smith and Faison, as they set the tone in doubles. Mattie Byrd and Rebekah Byrd followed suit on court two to get another win, as Anna Blount and Savannah Puryear finished off the sweep on court three.

The Dark Horses improve to 6-4 overall and 5-3 in the conference. They will finish conference play this season on Thursday at home against Spring Creek.
