Local runners make top 1,000 in NC


Cross country athletes Elizabeth Coleman of Clinton and Xavier McLamb of Hobbton (pictured) are among the top 1,000 runners in North Carolina in the TrackHonors Cross Country Honor Roll. The Honor Roll is made up of runners of all cross country programs in North Carolina. The list is sent to 300 high school coaches and 100 college coaches. Coleman made the list based on her performance at the NCRunners Elite Cross Country Invitation with a time of 20:54.20. McLamb made the list based on his run in a Jungle Run with a time of 17:34.20. He took top honors in the Carolina 1-A men’s cross country at Hobbton recently. Both are juniors from their respective high schools.
