The Lakewood Leopard soccer team is rolling. They continued their winning ways on Wednesday with an 8-1 road win at Neuse Charter.

Jonathan Gonzalez, Logan Thomas, Frances Flores, Lloosman Zabala, Matt Wuester, and Albert Reyes all scored goals for the Leopards who are seemingly firing on all cylinders right now.

Zabala, Wuester, Flores, LJ Faircloth, and Gonzalez all had assists for Lakewood as well.

Lakewood’s head coach, Jay Faircloth was pleased with his team’s play.

“It’s a good win,” said the Leopard head coach. “We played the way I expected us to play. We got to experiment with some things, and now we will try to get ready for a really tough week next week, as we host James Kenan on Monday, and then go to Hobbton on Wednesday. We will really see what we are made of then, because those two teams are really good.”

Lakewood is now a perfect 3-0 in conference play, and improves to 3-3-1 overall.

The James Kenan Tigers come to town next Monday for what should be a great game. Things are set to get underway at 6 p.m.
