Lady Raiders beat Trask

The Midway Lady Raider JV and varsity teams won against the Trask Titans, in Rocky Point, on Tuesday evening. The JV team won in two straight sets, which keeps their undefeated record in check.

The JV won the first set, 25-14, and the second 25-21. Blythe Best had a nice game for the JV team and went on a serving run in the first set and had 8 service points on the night to go along with 5 aces.

Rachel Hodges had a serving spree of her own, as she finished with 11 service points in the two sets.

The varsity team won in four sets. They took the first set, 25-15, the second, 25-19, lost the third, 20-25, and then won the final set 25-10.

Brittany Watson had a big evening for the Lady Raiders, as she had 6 serving aces, 10 kills, and 14 digs. Sophomore Hannah Lucas also went on a serving run in the fourth set, as she racked up 16 service points and 4 aces for the night.

Freshman Alyssa Wrench had a good outing from the front row, as she had 9 kills and 7 blocks. She added 5 service points as well.

Midway is now 9-3 in conference play, and will host West Bladen on Thursday for Senior Night.
