The Lakewood Leopard girls dominated the Hobbton Wildcat girls in Tuesday night’s basketball action. The final score was 62–25, Lakewood.

The Lady Leopards jumped on the Wildcats early and didn’t let up. The Lady Leopards had a 12-3 lead after one quarter. They outscored the Wildcats 17–9 in the second to take a 29-12 advantage to the locker room at the half. They extended the lead to 54–17 in the 3rd quarter and finished with the 62–25 win.

Leopard coach Vonnie McNeil said, “We’re coming off a little break and it wasn’t pretty to me. But they still came out and ran the offense and ran it smoothly. I didn’t like how they let Hobbton get in their head. We had a situation occur I did not like at all with my point guard. All in all it was a win and I’m glad for it.”

Scoring for the Leopards were Justina Henry with 19 points, Briana Evans with 12 and India Dixon with 10. For the Wildcats, Nina Devone had 19 points.
