The Hobbton High lady’s soccer team lost 4-1 to the Spring Creek Gators Tuesday night. It was tough, hard fought match, but the Wildcats just couldn’t seem to get the game in gear.
Ashley Hinterleiter got the only Wildcat score on an assist by Jovanna Zapata.
Soccer coach Jonathan Jacobs commented on his teams play after the game.
“I thought we came out strong in the 1st 10 minutes,” he said. “We had 2 chances early on that would have let us control the rest of the game because of our experience and changed the outcome as our momentum would have carried us. But, it didn’t go that way and we missed our chances which has been our Achilles heel this year. We are just not finishing our chances that we get. If we can do that, its a different record, a different team. We have a lot of season left and we will keep working at it.”
The Wildcats travel to Princeton Thursday. Game time is 6:30 p.m.
