Jonathan Wright gets the job done. And he did once again during Clinton’s 3-0 win over Wallace on Friday night under the lights at the Dark Horse Baseball Complex.

Wright tossed a complete game, 1 hit shut-out, fanning 12 Bulldog batters en route to yet another win.

Charles Jordan had another good night at the plate for the Horses, as he went 2-4. Blake Davis went 1-3 and had 2 RBIs, as the Dark Horses improved to 10-4 after starting the season at 0-4. They remain undefeated in the Four County Conference, as they just wrapped up the first half of the conference slate of the season.

Clinton head coach Tracy Thornton liked the resiliency of his team, and the dominance of his guy on the hill.

“Jonathan was outstanding and the guys made play behind him,” attested Thornton following the team’s tenth straight victory. “We took advantage of some of their mistakes, and got an extremely timely hit from Blake Davis. We have not really been scoring a lot of runs here lately, but we have been great at limiting teams from scoring, and that’s been a huge key to this 10 game stretch.”

Clinton is now 8-0 in Four County Conference play, and hold the top spot in the standings alongside East Bladen.
