Clinton’s Logan Batchelor is on his way to Methodist University to play basketball for the Monarchs. He signed his National Letter of Intent to play there on Friday afternoon in the Clinton High School Media Center.

“It is just a really great fit,” said Batchelor. “Methodist University is close to home, and the way that my senior season ended, I feel like I had to play at the next level. It felt meant to be.”

Batchelor plans to major in physical therapy while at Methodist, and further his education in exercise science.

Clinton head coach Randy Jordan was proud of his player, and noted that Methodist was getting quite the player.

“He was the glue for our team,” said Jordan. “He really kept us together. If we needed a big stop, he got it on the defensive end, if we needed a basket, he got it for us. Methodist is getting a steal if you ask me.”

Batchelor mentioned that he felt that the leadership skills and responsibility that he has learned under Coach Jordan and playing in the Dark Horse program has helped enhance his skills and prepare him for the college level.

“I love the game of basketball, I always have,” said Batchelor. “I am very excited to be able to do this at the next level.”
