SALEMBURG — Ms. Rosie Mable Autry, 81, of 1692 Butler Road, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010 at Bethesda Health Care.
A funeral is planned for Saturday, Nov. 6, 1 p.m. at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church in Autryville. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn McEachern of Fayetteville; three sons, Casper Autry of Autryville, Delbert Autry of Wade, Morris Alvin Autry of Elizabeth City; two sisters, Anna Dawson of Autryville and Melvina Gillis of Fayetteville; a brother, James Curtis Williams of Fayetteville; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 5, 6-7 p.m. at Dafford Funeral Home.

CLINTON —Mr. James Clarence Oates, 83, of 47 Harper St., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010 at his home.
A funeral is planned for Saturday, Nov. 6, 1 p.m. at Lisbon Street Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Bolton officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Clinton.
He is survived by his wife, Isabell W. Oates of the home; five daughters, Patricia Conway, Teresa Johnson, Anita Oates, all of Clinton, Pearline Goodman of Newton Grove and Kathy Combs of Reidsville; three sons, James Oates Jr. of Clinton, Mark Oates of Lady Lake, Fla. and Keith Oates Fayetteville; four sisters, Mary Barkdale of Faison, Hilda Aycock of Clinton, the Rev. Willa Joyner of Clinton and Clydia Mae Boykin of Fayetteville; a brother, Thomas E. Oates of Clinton; 25 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchldren.
A visitation is planned for Friday, Nov. 5, 1-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Daniel A. Hairr Jr., 75
CLINTON —Mr. Daniel Ashford “D.A.” Hairr, Jr., 75, of 3431 Edmond Matthis Road, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Raeford H. Carter Jr. officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Honrine Family Cemetery in Keener.
Mr. Hairr, a native of Sampson County, was the son of the late Daniel Ashford Hairr and Eula Jane Carter Hairr. He was also predeceased by a brother, William R. Hairr and a sister, Hazel Ivey. He was a Korean War Army veteran and a member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Rachel Jean Honrine Hairr of the home; two sons, Michael Dean Hairr and wife, Linda, of Rose Hill and Kenneth N. Hairr of Clinton; a daughter, Gloria Jean Hairr of Clinton; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Edna Lakota of Georgia and Thelma Carter of Clinton.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Nov. 4, from 6-8 p.m. at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Born in 1932 in Johnston County, Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Dossie and Lettie Hudson Moore. She was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church and a retired seamstress.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary B. Emery of Clinton; and five sons, Clemon Boyette and wife, Sherry, of Wilmington, Lee Boyette and wife, Faye, of Rose Hill, Luther Boyette of Clinton, Arthur Boyette of Salemburg, Jasper Boyette of Clinton; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
