Eighty-four of the cutest pets you’ve ever seen have already been entered in The Sampson Independent’s Cutest Pet Contest. But the question is, have you entered yours?

If not, you’ve got exactly one week left to do so. And we know you want too. After all, it’s free, it’s fun and it’ll give your pets more than their 60 seconds of fame, with their cute, little faces being viewed by thousands upon thousands of people who visit our website every day.

The contest, which began Jan. 17 and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 6, allows website visitors and all our wonderful readers to show off their pets and maybe, just maybe, earn them the title of our cutest pet.

There’s even prizes — up to $250 worth of them — and, what’s just as good, entering is completely free.

All you have to do is visit our website — www.clintonnc.com — click on the Cutest Pet Contest at the top of our home page and follow the instructions. You can enter one or more photos of your pet and, if you’ve got them, you can enter one or more of your pets in the contest, giving every member of your pet family a shot at the title.

We’ve already got some of the cutest animals you’ve ever seen, some dogs cats, a turtle and, yes, even a cow by the name of Darlin’, but there’s room for plenty more.

So get out your camera and snap away, then upload them to our website, view all the competition and watch for our Facebook updates on how the contest is going.

Voting begins on Feb. 7 and runs until Feb. 23, with the winners being announced on our website, through our Facebook page and in our print edition.

Prizes will be awarded by our sponsors — Baggett’s Jewelry and Tram Road Animal Clinic, who so graciously agreed to take part in this fun contest and provide the prizes winners will receive. Go by their businesses, support them and say thanks.
