The Hobbton Wildcat baseball team entertained the North Duplin Rebels in non-conference baseball action Monday night, with the home team falling.

The redhot Rebels as a team had 17 hits in 30 at bats to score 13 runs and hand the Wildcats a 13-2 loss. Hobbton as a team had 7 hits in 22 at bats.

Aaron Townsend led Hobbton with 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Kyle Lee and Jeremy Adkins each posted 1 hit.

Hobbton’s record now stands at 3-5 overall and 1-1 in the Tri-County Conference. They will travel to Union today to face the Spartans at 7 p.m.
