The Western Yankees were tournament runner-ups in the 9-10 years old baseball division.
The All-Star 12 and under boys baseball, 10 and under boys baseball and girls softball teams in State Wide Athletic Committee Tournaments (SWAC) next weekend. The 12 and under boys will be playing in Havelock and the 10 and under boys will be playing in Red Oak. The girls will play in Roseboro — it is the first time that the Western District Park will be hosting a fastpitch tournament for SWAC.
