CLINTON — Mr. Larry J. Ashley, 53, of 505 Edgar St., died Friday, July 15, 2011 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 20 at Snow Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Roseboro with the Rev. Marvin T. Clowney officiating. Burial will be held in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Clinton.
Mr. Ashley is survived by his wife, Annie I. Ashley of the home; daughter, Kimberly Ashley of the home; son, Larry J. Ashley Jr., of Raleigh; brothers, George S. Ashley of Raeford, and Thomas Moore of New Jersey; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 19 at Brock Memorial & Worley Funeral Home with the family present from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mildred C. Parker, 78
JACKSONVILLE — Ms. Mildred Crooms Parker, 78, died Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Onslow Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 23, from the St. Lewis Missionary Baptist Church, Chinquapin, with the Rev. Gregory Hewett officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 23, two hours prior to funeral, at St. Lewis Baptist Church, 168 Pickett Bay Road, Chinquapin.
