On Sunday, July 17, 2011, Gary Fenton Barefoot, left, and Shelby Tew Jackson were honored with The Star Award (Serving Together Achieves Results) for more than 50 years of loyal and faithful service as organist and pianist for Robert’s Grove OFWB Church. They were honored for services rendered and for giving of themselves in service to their God. Gary and Shelby were thanked for their unfailing labor of love to God and the church by pastor Fred P. Baker and Douglas Tompkins, chairman of the Board of Deacons, along with various church members. They have touched and blessed so many hearts with their beautiful music. Gary Barefoot and Shelby Jackson are an unforgettable team.
