Ruth 3:3 says “ Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment ( your best garment) upon thee and get thee down to the floor: but make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking.”
This is Naomi speaking to her daughter-in-law about fixing herself up to look good before this Godly man name Boaz.
This article may offend some of you Godly women, but I must tell the truth. Satan does not want you to know nor walk in the truth, because it will set you free. When was the last time you fixed yourself up for your husband? Have you been married so long that you don’t care how you look anymore around the house and before your husband?
God has blessed you with this man and now that you’ve got him you don’t do what it takes to keep him.
Some of you women of God need a “Washing of the Word” again or a “fresh anointing” in your life. You have been selfish towards the things that please your husband. What you won’t do for your husband, “the Devil” has a willing vessel aimed and ready that will. In other words, if you don’t want to fix yourself up, Satan will send someone who will.
You don’t want to cook for him, Satan will send someone who will; you don’t spend time with your husband, Satan will send someone who will; you don’t want to take care of your body, Satan will send someone who will. This is a serious matter women of God.
Ruth put on her “best garment.” In other words, she was looking good for him when he showed up. Stop making excuses and being selfish and ask the Lord to refresh, renew, and revive your mind!!!!!
When was the last time you turned him on with some type of outfit you purchased? If you don’t feel comfortable in your body, hit the gym, go walking, cut back on the soft drinks and bread intake. If you want something bad enough, you will do what it takes to get it.
Why does it take finding out that your husband has had an affair with another women for some of you to get the picture? Why is it that when Satan raises his ugly head up in a Christian marriage you women of God are ready to fight then, but God has been telling you through stories like this and through Naomi’s what it takes to keep the fire burning in your marriage.
Spice up your marriage with a romance dinner, breakfast in bed, a night of candles all over the bedroom. Go out and buy you a sexy night gown and walk around the house with it on. Again if you don’t “turn your husband on” rest assured Satan has a plan and a vessel that will love to turn him on.
I pray that God would “wash” away that spirit of selfishness, that spirit of bitterness, and that spirit of contentment that has killed, destroyed, and stolen the intimacy in your marriage.
