Three local teenagers have been arrested in two separate thefts last month targeting both local residents and businesses — and their firearms.

A Roseboro teenager has been arrested on felony charges after being linked to a theft at Mickie Spell’s business on West Vinson Avenue in Autryville.

Markum Saito, 19, of Crab Apple Lane, Roseboro, has been charged with larceny of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, felonious larceny, possession of stolen goods and violation of a court order.

The charges stem from a larceny from Spell’s Mechanical Services on Dec. 21, according to sheriff’s authorities.

Spell reported numerous weapons stolen, nine in total, including two Glocks, four pistols, a revolver, shotgun and a bolt-action rifle with mounted scope. Additionally, a Sony digital camera, computer and other accessories were taken. The items were valued at more than $1,500.

Warrants against Saito were taken out on Dec. 30 and served on Saturday. He has been placed under $10,000 secured bond for the charges.

A day before Saito’s arrest, two Clinton teens were charged in a separate stolen firearm investigation.

Demitrice Daven Darden, 17, of E. Maple St., Clinton, and Harry Nelson Parker Jr., 16, of 100 Dogwood Circle, were each charged with breaking and entering, felonious larceny and possession of stolen goods.

According to reports, both were taken into custody in connection with a break-in at James Caldwell’s home on or about Oct. 28. A Maverick 12-gauge pump shotgun was stolen in the incident.

Both Darden and Parker have been placed under $15,000 secured bond for the offenses.
