Presbyterian Church

Will host Wednesday Advent Lunches Dec. 7, and 14 followed by a meditation. In continuing the fine tradition started by the First Methodist, Lenten Lunches, GMPC invites you to be our guest as we prepare our hearts for the Christmas season. GMPC’s puppets, children and youth will come together under the direction of Susan to bring the Christmas message. Please bring one canned good or staple item per person for our Christmas food drive in support of the Sampson Crisis Center.

Will hold its annual Goodie Gala from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, in the fellowship hall. Stop by and choose from a selection of holiday goodies at $6 per pound. Proceeds go to their Lottie Moon Offering for International Missions. Their annual Christmas cantata, entitled “The Gift of Christmas,” is scheduled for 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 11. The Live Nativity will be performed nightly at 7, 7:30 and 8 p.m, Dec. 18, 19 and 20.

House of Prayer

Will have services at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 4 with Dr. Curtis Lee of E.F.C. Church of Mt. Olive. The church is located at Strawberry Intersection, Faison.

Church choir will present “Arise, Shine, Your Light Has Come” musical at 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 4. Refreshments will be served following the program. The church is located 14 miles from Dunn off N.C. 55 Hwy. East in the ComWell Community.

New Vision

Christian Church

The re-opening and dedication of their sanctuary will be Sunday, Dec. 4, at 4 p.m. Apostle Zebedee Sheppard, along with his church family, Victory and Dominion World Outreach Center of Snow Hill will be in charge of service. The celebration will continue on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. with pastor Chris Brown and Holy Tabernacle Church family of Roseboro, on Friday, Dec. 9 pastor Onyx Martin with the St. Paul Church of Christ, Clinton and Higher Level Ministries of Kenansville will be in charge of the service at 7:30 p.m. FMI, call 299-5002 or email us at nvcc@msn.com.

Roseboro UMC

The Roseboro Senior Citizens will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at the church. They will be taking the church van to visit with the Autumn Wind residents. Please be at the church at 10:45 a.m.; the van will leave at 11 a.m. The group will return to Roseboro UMC at noon for our lunch. If you can, please bring a bag of sugar-free candy (individually wrapped hard candy) to give while visiting.
