Annual Christmas Program and celebration will be Friday, Dec 16, at 7 p.m. The Drama Ministry and the youth ministry will perform a Christmas shadow drama. Christmas celebration will also be filled with Christmas songs, poems, goodies and exchanging of gifts.

Will hold a memorial service on Sunday, Dec. 18 during the 11 a.m. morning worship to celebrate the lives of deceased loved ones. The church is located at 900 College St.

Will host Wednesday Advent Lunch Dec. 14 followed by a meditation. In continuing the fine tradition started by the First Methodist, Lenten Lunches, GMPC invites you to be our guest as we prepare our hearts for the Christmas season. Please bring one canned good or staple item per person for our Christmas food drive in support of the Sampson Crisis Center.

Holiness Church

Will hold its annual Christmas program at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 18. Appearing on the program will be Billie Ray and the New Gospelaires of Clinton, Men on a Mission of Clinton; the Rev. Willie Harrington and Unity of Clinton; elder Antonio Patterson of Clinton; the Agape Singers of Clinton and the Faison Family Singers of Roseboro. There will be gifts, door prizes, fruit and candy and a give a way. The church is located at 515 S.E. Blvd. Clinton.

Their annual Christmas cantata, entitled “The Gift of Christmas,” is scheduled for 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 11. The Live Nativity will be performed nightly at 7, 7:30 and 8 p.m, Dec. 18, 19 and 20.

The Dixie Travelers will be singing at 11 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 11.

Will begin their sermonette series at 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 9. Sunday services will be at 10 a.m.. Tuesday night, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m. will begin their Christmas celebration with the Lord’s Supper. Prayer line is open daily from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m.

Universalist Church

Will host the annual Universalist Convention of North Carolina, Inc. Love Feast Sunday, Dec. 11. Covered-dish supper at 5:30 p.m. and Candle Lighting Service follows at 6:30 p.m.

Disciple Church

Will celebrate Christmas at 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 17, with dinner. Regular services will be held the first and third Sundays with Sunday school starting at 9:45 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m.

Poplar Grove MBC

Will hold its annual Christmas program at 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10. For the month of December, Sunday school will begin at 8:45 a.m. and morning worship at 10 a.m.There will be no Sunday school on Christmas Day.

Will host a two-night revival Dec. 15-16 with guest speaker pastor Keith Anderson of Faith and Love Kingdom Ministries, Rocky Mount. Services will begin at 7:30 p.m. each night. New Life Outreach Ministries Choir will provide music on Thursday and Faith and Love Kingdom Ministries Choir on Friday. Watch Nigh Services will be held at 9:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 31 with guest speaker pastor Matinzicio Edmondson from Greater Works Dominion, Inc. of Rocky Mount.

Roseboro UMC

Will give out free hot chocolate and coffee during the Roseboro Christmas Parade this Friday. Also, the church will be hosting a live nativity on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 17 and 18, at the church.

AME Zion Church

Will hold a Christmas Extravaganza on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 4 p.m. The theme of the program is Simplify Christmas; Celebrate Jesus. The Union Chapel Soul Steppers will make their final appearance for 2011. The Watch Night service will be Dec. 31. The church is located on U.S. 701 S at 8465 Garland Hwy.
